🏁 Welcome to the Season!

Season Start Checklist

  • Team rosters finalized and shared with families
  • Practice schedules posted to team calendars
  • Uniform pickup dates announced
  • Coach welcome emails sent with session plans
  • Opening weekend games confirmed
📣 Reminder: First fall games kick off in September. First spring games kick off in April!  Please arrive 30 minutes early for warm-ups!
Season windows: Fall (Sept–Nov) | Spring (Apr–June)

Coach Season Prep Timeline

  • 📅 3–4 weeks before kickoff: Game schedules posted on https://www.southshoresoccer.com/
  • 📥 Schedules loaded into TeamSideline/HAYSA
  • 🔍 Coaches review for conflicts:
    • No coach availability
    • Overlapping programs (Rec vs Travel)
    • Major events affecting team fielding
  • 🤝 If only one coach is available, board members or other coaches may assist
✅ Pro tip: Coordinate early to avoid last-minute changes. We're here to support you!   

Game Change Request Process

  1. 📧 Request opposing coach's contact info from the Registrar
  2. 📍 Identify alternate time & location for the game
  3. 🤝 For Home games, confirm field & ref availability with Referee Coordinator
  4. 🤝 Confirm availability with the opposing coach via email
  5. 📝 Track communication via email and CC board members once agreement is reached
  6. 📄 Complete the official Game Change Request Form and include notes from coach coordination
  7. 📤 Email the completed form to South Shore Soccer League and continue the same email thread with:
  8. ✅ Wait for confirmation from SSSL
  9. 🌐 SSSL updates their site; Webmaster receives notification
  10. 📣 TeamSideline/HAYSA site updated to notify families and coaches
🛡️ All communication should be tracked via email. Use a single thread and CC board members and the opposing coach once agreement is reached.
